Peace is the great promise from the heart of God. Did you know that peace has a name, a regal name? It was a name given to us centuries before the royal birth occurred. Be encouraged today in the words from an ancient voice:
“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isa. 9:6, NKJV).
Jesus; the Master, Messiah, Prince of Peace, ever present, ever caring, ever interceding stands among us to offer His priceless gift.
Sometimes peace seems so elusive, so distant that we don’t even know how to pray. This very moment intercessory prayer for you is being lifted to the Father from Jesus, the Christ. It is this same Jesus who calls His children to pray for one another. In those moments when the words will just not come, take comfort, experience His peace, and rest in the prayers of the saints that are being offered on your behalf.
The whole world is in search of peace. However, peace in the world can only be accomplished by those who understand the reality of inner peace—peace that’s accompanied by eternal promises, that will last, that allows you to look past the trials of the moment to see the triumph of tomorrow.
“Tell the righteous that it will go well for them, for they will eat the fruit of their labor” (Isa. 3:10).
“‘Though the mountains move and the hills shake, My love will not be removed from you and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,’ says your compassionate LORD” (Isa. 54:10).
“The LORD my God has now given me rest all around; there is no enemy or crisis” (1 Kings 5:4).
Beyond my understanding, beyond the scope of what I see, lies the promise for the claiming of God’s peace that’s meant for me. Like a cool refreshing fountain, like the calm of a silent sea, beyond my understanding, God’s peace waits for me.
“May Yahweh bless you and protect you; may Yahweh make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may Yahweh look with favor on you and give you peace (Num. 6:24-26).
It is Well.
