It’s How We Enter into God’s Presence
Psalms 100:4 — Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.
Nothing is more important than when we lead our congregations into the genuine, life-changing presence of God! This great Psalm reminds us how to enter in. In fact, any encounter with God should begin with thankfulness and praise for all He has done for us. I’ve noticed that when I start my personal devotions in the morning I can’t seem to even begin until I have given thanks. Thankfulness is the gateway to His presence and all His blessings, both privately and corporately! The power of the thankfulness to bring breakthrough to our lives can never be overemphasized.
We Let God’s Kingdom Come
Matthew 6:9,10 — Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Every time we gather and worship we are imitating the angels and saints who surround the throne, thus bringing the central activity of heaven down to earth.
Letting God’s kingdom come is about letting what’s happening in heaven happen here on earth.
