Label: Fair Trade
This is an album truly unlike anything I’ve heard in Christian music for the better part of a couple of decades. Most of the song titles are familiar, but you would never have imagined them in this space. This project features a new artist that has stepped boldly into an epic arena that is all their own… and they are owning it!
This freshmen offering from Veritas on Fair Trade Records is a refreshing departure from the worship-band-dominated world of mainstream CCM/CHR/AC radio. Co-producers Phillip Keveren and Kent Hooper have veraciously captured the heart of these five young men and their flourishing voices. Wrapped in lush and expansive symphonic landscapes, the pop-classical vocals on this album are skillful, full-bodied, passionate, and even thrilling.
When you hear the rhapsodic innovative twist on some of the best-loved songs of the past 20 years (like I Can Only Imagine, Dare You To Move, 10,000 Reasons, and Agnus Dei), you simply won’t believe your ears!
Songs on the album that seem to be definitively artistic and “uniquely Veritas” include The Hand That Holds the Storm and Love of My Life. Don’t overlook these great new musical moments. And don’t miss An American Anthology – a star-spangled medley of heart-swelling patriotism.
Given the diversity of individual voices in the group, these guys can go just about anywhere. And when they lock their voices together, the sound is unbridled and leaves you undone! If you haven’t yet discovered Veritas, you’re in for something really special when you buy this album.
