That is the one-word definition of WorshipLife and what it’s all about. Everything we do that bares this name is intended to be some form of communication with the people we serve – things we want to share with you and things we desperately need to hear from you.
That’s what this blog is all about. Most often, what you read here is something we have heard someone say or it’s something we want to say. And, from the reaction we receive, you are listening — and talking — because we hear about it all the time.
But, the blog is not the only way we do that! WorshipLife Event, in Gatlinburg later this year, is another way we want to have this conversation with you. Registration has been steady and more are signing up every day. We would love to see as many of you as possible at Worship Life Event, June 27-30. After all, face to face is the very best way to talk!
Many of you remember WorshipLife Live – the online webcast that featured new music and guests. We haven’t done one in a while, but you’ll see word about the next one soon. And then there’s Sound Check – video interviews with some of the most impactful worship leaders and writers of the day.
The conversation just keeps going. That’s what friends do.
But now, there’s a new way we want to facilitate this important dialogue. This week, we’re launching WorshipLife Podcast with Mike Harland – co-hosted by my friend and colleague Brian Brown. I hope many of you will subscribe to this new avenue of dialog. We will discuss hot topics and take real questions as well as have a little fun in what Brian has named, “The Historic B.B. McKinney Studios in beautiful downtown Nashville.” We had so much fun recording the first few episodes we can hardly wait to get back in for the next ones.
There you have it. WorshipLife: A dynamic conversation between disciples who love Jesus and love leading the worship of God’s people in churches everywhere.
Hearts. Souls. Minds. (Matthew 22:37) WorshipLife.
Mike Harland is the Director of LifeWay Worship. When he’s not directing 30+ employees, you’ll find him leading worship at various churches around the country, writing/arranging worship songs and/or, writing his next book. In his spare time, he loves playing basketball and spending time with his family. Mike can be found on Twitter @MikeHarlandLW and on facebook.com/Mike.Harland.37.
