Isaiah Six is the first to respond to this week’s “call to posts,” and it’s an exhaustive review! You can read the article for the punchline, but I love his setup:
But just because something might be proposed or published by the SBC or its publishing arm, LifeWay Christian Resources, doesn’t mean I fall all over myself to buy it and use it. In fact, I’m often skeptical because sometimes we just flat out get it wrong.
Any more Proverbs 27:2 folks out there?
The mp3 CD tracks would be a huge blessing to our small congregation. Unfortunately, the price is pretty steep. Most of our members have already lost their homes due to the housing crisis and have fallen on very hard times…
We’ve been without musicians for abour 2 years. Any idea as to whether there may be a price break for small struggling congregations?

Abraham, I may be wrong, but I don’t think the prices have been set yet. What I saw this past weekend, though, indicates they’ll be in the $1 to $2 range for the default tracks and only slightly higher for tracks of mapped songs. Patrick or someone else from LifeWay can correct me if I’m wrong or if I misunderstood.
I was really excited when I received the DVD about the Lifeway Worship Project and the recent emails about the site. So tonight I got online and looked around and everything looks wonderful. But when I saw the price tags, my heart sank. Like Abraham, I am in a very small church and my entire budget for the coming year is $500! We’ve been working on a small orchestra this year and I was excited to see the orchestrations, but they are way out of my price range. Too bad – everything looks great.
