It’s been a long, joy-filled ride, but after 18 months of feedback and tweaks, we’re announcing today that LifeWayWorship.com is officially out of beta. We will continually work to improve the site and always like to hear your feedback, but I for one, am happy to say bye bye, beta star!
To celebrate, take 2 FREE downloads by entering BYEBYEBETA at checkout. (Offer good through April 28).
Hey, where did the lyrics window go in the song information? I clicked on a song to preview for worship and the lyrics weren’t there. Was that just for Beta only. If so, bring it back, please.
I miss being able to preview the lyrics! Please bring that back – really helpful for songs that are not in the hymnal.
I also miss the lyrics. I’ve found a workaround by adding the song to the cart and previewing the quick chart – but that is a pain.
Jay, Jeanne and John,
With “print preview”, you can see not only the lyrics, but the notes! We include the lyrics on almost all of the printed versions that you can purchase at the site. And, the lyrics are still in the database, so if you search for the second line of a verse like “close beside me,” you’ll still find “Jesus Loves Me.”

I’m a new worship leader and the words along with the music helped me to learn the songs, is there anyway you can bring this added plus back,
Thank you,
Bessie
Please bring the lyrics back to the info view for songs. The lyrics are critical in our decision to purchase a song or not.
I also miss the lyrics. If possible, please bring them back. Most of the time I “map” our purchases and as I’m mapping I am singing along. It helps when trying to decide if to add a key change, keep the “turn” in, etc.
I love this website. It makes planning music so easy. The arrangement are wonderful. Please, return the lyrics- really, really helpful to be able to read prior to purchasing, etc.

Have the lyrics been taken out for good?
I really appreciate your website. Since we are a small church averaging around 100 without skilled musicians, the ability to use contemporary songtracks with or without vocals and with sheet music for our vocal musicians has been tremendous. But I agree with the other comments: PLEASE BRING BACK THE LYRICS!
All,
Thank you so much for your comments and I appreciate your concern for the lyrics.
Jim, the best way to see the lyrics is with our print previews. I suggest using the QuickChart print preview for any song you are considering. Most of these are just one page.
Karen, you do have to add the song to your cart before seeing the preview, but you can view them before making a purchasing decision. If you decide the song is not right for you, simply remove it from your cart.
Cathy, while you are mapping your song, leave the print preview pdf up in a separate window. This will allow you to reference the lyric while you create your own arrangement.
Joe, the first line of the lyric is still displayed in the informational screen. If you would like to see the entire lyric, simply open the print preview file. Again, I’d suggest the QuickChart.
Bessie, the best way to learn a new song is with our audio demos and a print product (e.g. QuickChart, Leadsheet) or your choosing.
Again, thank you all for using our site and letting us know what you think.
Sincerely,
Jonathan
i would love to see the lyrics back on the individual song pages as it was before. i am my churches media director and this is how i and our worship pastor check all our song lyrics for our services. without that easy function, this site is useless to us, and we will have to look elsewhere.
please put it back, this new method is far too complicated just to check lyrics. thanks for considering.
I’ve already sent in my comments on this issue. However, I wanted to post here to say that I agree with the resurrection of the lyric field in each song. No matter which way you slice it or try to justify its retirement, the simple fact is, it’s much easier to use the site with the lyrics in simple text form with each song.
@Jonathan Riggs, are there copyright issues involved with keeping the lyrics? If not, how could there be anything other than a positive aspect in returning the lyrics?
