What a Year It’s Been!

October 30, 2009 7 Comments

LifeWayWorship.com is the flagship component of LifeWay’s Worship Project, our strategic initiative to equip the Church with resources for the rapidly-changing arena of worship ministry. After almost two years of arranging, recording, editing, and developing this little technology we called SongMap, the site finally went live on October 27, 2008.
1,200 songs and 22,000 active accounts later, we are celebrating our one year anniversary. It is our desire that we not just crank out the latest tunes and play with innovative technology, but to equip you with real solutions for your ministry.
To help us celebrate, I want to offer you 5 free downloads from LifeWayWorship.com. Simply enter the promo code: 2009ANNIVERSARY at checkout. (As always, be sure and get all of your downloads in a single session). This offer is good until December 1.
2010 looks to be another exciting year. Although, we’re not adding another 1,200 songs, we will be adding new material on a regular basis. We”re not only growing our list of songs, but expanding our stylistic repertoire. Watch for our expanding list of genres to include kids, country, and messianic material. And I’m not allowed to reveal much yet, but be sure to watch for a special announcement on November 17th.
In order not to miss this announcement and to keep up with the happenings of LifeWayWorship.com, consider following us on Twitter and check this blog often.
I would love to hear from those of you who have been using the site regularly. Simply leave your comment below. Thank you. Thank you for what you do to serve the Body, of which we are all a part. And thank you for choosing LifeWayWorship.com.

Would it be possible on the checkout page to make it smart enough to not have to enter credit card info when using a promo code that takes care of the entire total?

This website is fantastic and I use it practically every week! Such easy access to hymn orchestrations has really enhanced our services. I especially appreciate the preview feature.
Thank you, and keep up the good work!

Lifewayworship.com has been a great resource for me over this past year. I really love the contemporary hymn arrangements. They allow me to integrate hymns without too many of the younger folks rolling their eyes. Being able to buy songs as needed and charge to Lifeway account has also been handy. For me, the jury is still out on WorshipMap Pro. Conceptually, it’s great. But my worship team has not found it very user-friendly.
Overall, great job making a paperless resource for those of us who do most everything online. I’m looking forward to using it in the coming year. Thanks for all you do.

Chris, every transaction that occurs on the website references a credit card number of LifeWay account. This is mostly for accounting and tracking purposes, but you bring up a good point.
    Thank you.

Being a small church family, we don’t currently have the musical talent for a worship team or band. Previously, we used a Midi Hymnal, which worked okay, but the worship experience was not very rich.
Using LifeWayWorship.com has allowed us to have a full and rich worship experience. We’ve also been able to migrate from Hymn only to a blended service, combining the best of contemporary hymns, worship and praise music.
Also, because of the MP3s, we’re able to integrate the music directly into our PowerPoint slides, to have an easy-to-use “backstage” experience, requiring only a remote to advance the slides during worship. The remote controls the slides and volume of the PC, if necessary. The PC is then connected to the sound board and projector. All it takes is 1 person to control everything.
I’m especially thankful for the free songs codes you’ve given out since the very beginning. Being a small church family with a small budget going through some hard and tough economics, they really, really did help us more than you might know.
Because of the ease of everything, we haven’t really needed to use SongMap. However, we haven’t ruled it out and hope to give this a try one day.
Thank you very much for all that you’ve done and continuing to do!
    In His Service,
    David

We use WorshipMapPro on a regular basis. I love it! It makes my job so much easier and really helps me to stay in contact with my teams with just a click of a few buttons. One consistent problem we have though? Printing! Many of my team members have a problem getting the worship schedule to print correctly for them. It will just print the first page and then stop. Also, the summary page prints in a tiny, tiny font. I haven’t been able to fix this. So, my dream of everyone bringing their own charts has not become a reality yet. I still have to make copies of the packet for each week. Could you please work of this glitch for us? We would really, really appreciate it. But big, huge props on a great resource for our church!
    Blessings-
