Artist: Oceans of Grace Band
Album: Oceans of Grace
The self-titled release from Oceans of Grace is inspired and inspiring. This up-and-coming independent band is writing and producing worship music that reflects an obvious heart for the Kingdom of God!
Oceans of Grace was born out of mission work. Many years ago, two brothers, serving alongside their parents in Chile, were leading worship in remote locations and began to gather musical friends around them. Over time, as the family grew and built homes throughout Chile for many who were downtrodden and less fortunate, the band began to solidify and write songs. Wherever they went to show the love of Jesus, their songs went with them.
Today, the band is still comprised of the two brothers, their families, and a few of their Chilean friends. Given their ecumenical dimension, Oceans of Grace has been intentional with this album to include 20 cuts – 10 songs in English, followed by the same 10 songs in Spanish. It is not often that one encounters worship songs that have been indigenously born out of two separate cultures. The unique amalgamation of hearts and gifts has generated stand-out songs, including I Know That You Love Me (featuring Third Day’s Mac Powell), Psalm 63 (Oh Lord Your Love), How Great You Are, and my personal pick of the project, Your Voice.
This is a band whose compassionate effort to build homes in Chile is in perfect harmony with the worship music that flows from their hearts!
