About the Latin: there are two pronunciations for Latin, the classic pronunciation and the ecclesiastical pronunciation. The classic pronunciation would pronounce excelsis with a hard ‘c’ and the ecclesiastical sounds more like ‘egg shell.’

I’m a little bit surprised that “Mary Did You Know” didn’t get a mention. It’s certainly well loved Christmas song.
My favourite this year is Matt Boswell’s “In Excelsis Deo”. Through the lyrics we sing the truth that Jesus was ultimately born to be the sacrifice for our sins. All wrapped in a thought and emotion provoking minor key that I love so much at Christmas. Make sure you add it to your playlist this year!
