I love hymns. And I especially love fresh treatments of hymns. We’ve received positive feedback regarding the contemporary hymns available on our site. Every song on our site has a “version name” to give you an idea of what the song sounds like and where it came from. One of our version names is “Lifeway Contemporary Hymn.” These are new arrangements of standard hymns.
Whether it’s the same rhythm and melody (e.g. Come Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy – II, Hallelujah, What a Savior – II) or different rhythms and new choruses (e.g. Everlasting Arms, Jesus Paid It All – IV) contemporary hymns are great for connecting generations and bringing relevant sound theology to your worship times. Question: What’s your favorite contemporary hymn arrangement?
I have always the version of Rise Up, O Men of God that was used at Promise Keepers in the past with the new chorus added. I would definitely appreciate you adding that in the future.

Thanks for this great suggestion. We will look into it for a future release! We always appreciate your feedback.
Hey Jonathan and crew –
First of all, Lifeway Worship has been a huge benefit to our small church here. We are mostly US expats, and so everyone who attends really enjoys being able to sing contemporary worships songs, but we just don’t have the resources for a band.
One of my favs is Tomlin’s “Come Thou Fount.” I also really like Crowder’s “Thousand Tongues”. But one I really want to use someday (hint! hint!) is Tomlin’s “I Stand Amazed”.
Thanks for all you do – we really depend on you guys!
